League Structure

The league has 12 teams. One person serves as Chief Journalist and Jester (CJJ).
We play Victory Points each week: every team plays one head-to-head opponent (winner gets a W, loser an L). On top of that, the top half of all weekly scores also gets a W, the bottom half an L.
No divisions. Sleeper randomizes the schedule each year after the rookie draft — every team plays 9 teams once and 3 teams twice, for 14 regular-season games.
Initial rosters were allocated through the Inaugural Draft in year one.
II

Inaugural Draft

Held only in year one on Sleeper, starting after the 2022 NFL Draft so that year's rookies were included.
III

Roster Requirements

- No roster minimum.
- Active roster max is 36. There are 4 IR slots on top of that.
- The 36 cap is waived for a 3-week grace period after the draft (third Sunday after the final pick, noon), but only if your draft picks are what pushed you over.
Starting lineup (IDP): 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 2 flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 superflex (QB/RB/WR/TE), 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DL, 2 LB, 2 DB.
Lineups: lock at each player's kickoff. Miss the deadline and Sleeper rolls last week's lineup forward (or fills with your highest-drafted players).
Tanking: starting injured players or benching stars to lose costs you one rookie draft pick per incident.
IV

Keeping Players

- You keep your full roster from last season, including anyone on IR.
- You can't exceed the roster max — drop players if needed to fit rookie picks or IR returnees.
- 14 days before the rookie draft, your roster must have room for your incoming picks. Cuts cap at 5 even if you have more picks (4 picks = drop 4; 8 picks = still only 5).
- No players on IR 14 days before the rookie draft.
V

Injured Reserve

- No IR usage in the 14 days before the rookie draft (see Section IV).
- Players must qualify for the IR slot on Sleeper. If they don't, your roster is considered invalid.
- Pandemic designations from 2020 are still recognized: C = Covid, H = season opt-out due to Covid.
VI

SLOW Drafts

Slow drafts run on Sleeper with a 24-hour pick timer. If the timer runs out, Sleeper auto-picks for you. The commissioner can pause for technical issues.
VII

Annual Rookie / Free Agent Draft

- Held every year after the inaugural to allocate new players. Runs on Sleeper.
- Start date is set by the league.
- 4 rounds, worst-to-first in every round.
- Order is set by the previous year's VP record (standard tiebreakers). Playoff teams are ordered by playoff finish — the worst playoff exit picks first.
- 24-hour pick timer. Auto-pick if it expires. Commissioner can pause for technical issues.
- Picks are tradable up to 2 years ahead. The start of the rookie draft kicks off the "year" for trade-pick purposes.
VIII

Trades

- Propose and accept trades on Sleeper.
- The proposer can cancel any time before the receiver accepts.
- Once accepted, Sleeper updates rosters immediately — careful during game days, it'll affect lineups.
- The commissioner can veto a trade for suspected collusion or for being clearly competitively unbalanced.
- **Collusion** = knowingly helping another owner without benefit to your own team.
- An unbalanced trade alone isn't collusion; the commissioner judges case-by-case.
- Owners can protest a trade to the commissioner, but the commissioner's decision is final.
- Trade deadline: kickoff of Week 12.
- You can't make trades in a new season until your entry fee is paid in full.
IX

Free Agency and Waivers

Blind Bidding (BB)
- Bid on free agents from 1:15 PM ET Sunday through 9 PM ET Wednesday.
- Each team starts the season with 500 credits. No carryover, no extras.
- Minimum bid is 1 credit, in 1-credit increments.
- Ties go to the earliest bid.
- Conditional bids are allowed (whatever Sleeper supports).
- Sleeper processes bids shortly after 9 PM ET Wednesday.
- BB starts the first Sunday after the rookie draft concludes.
First-come-first-serve (FCFS)
- 9:15 PM ET Wednesday through 1 PM ET Sunday. Unlimited pickups.
- No FCFS in the preseason until the week before Week 1.
- Players lock during FCFS once their game kicks off.
- Dropped players are locked until 1 PM ET Sunday.
- If you accidentally drop someone you just picked up in the same FCFS window, the commissioner can unlock them on request.
Other
- Waivers and FA are open all season including playoffs, ending Week 17.
- The commissioner can freeze the roster of an owner intentionally dropping players to sabotage the league.
